OFFER EXPIRED!!!
Baby Bear will be available for ordering early 2011.
~ Thank You ~

Hello my fellow bloggers!  Happy Wednesday and New Release Day of our Beary Sweet Designs Patterns.  Okay, so I've been scarce around these parts, but all within good reason.  I've been working day and night on the website, still unpacking a few more boxes and updating our online inventory.  Now, add Holiday cleaning, decorating and shopping (or lack there of) - Whew!  I'm finding I'm busier now than I ever was before.  I hope I can find some time to bake a few batches of cookies with the kids.

With all this hustle and bustle, it's amazing I found the time to get 2 new patterns out this month.  Introducing our newest additions to the Beary Sweet Family... Marcy the Mouse and Monty the Moose!

There is more... Many of you have asked for a smaller sized bear... a Baby Bear.  Well, Baby Bear is available for FREE when you purchase both of our new releases together.  You only have until midnight December 16 to place your order and take advantage of this offer.  Baby Bear will not be back until early 2011, so you don't want to miss out on this great deal.  You can go HERE to order our Special Bonus Buy.

Well, this chickie needs to get back to work.  Thanks for stopping by.  I hope to be back in a few days with some more freebie digis!

Merry Little Christmas Angel Tilda - BSC #13

Hello fellow bloggers!  Happy Thursday to you all!  I hope you have been having a wonderful week thus far.  The weather here in PA has been mighty cold.  I'm beginning to think mother nature forget Autumn???  It's way to cold for me to be outside raking leaves.

  • News about our Local Boutique can be found here.  The days are winding down fast.  The new location (although no longer public) is coming along nicely.  Hubby has put in the most incredible lighting and Chris primered the walls yesterday.  Today we will be getting a fresh coat of "latte" paint with the help of my loving Father-in-Law.  So warm and inviting!  Hopefully the new flooring will be installed this weekend.  Sad, but exciting at the same time.  We are ahead of schedule... even though we all seem to work better under pressure - LOL.
  • thebearyscrap.com News:  I began restoring some products on the website, but some that I am trying to keep off are squeaking by me.  After November 13, all product will be restored on the site.  New inventory is being added daily!

Surprisingly, I managed to make a card using Susan's awesome sketch for our BSC #13 which can be found HERE.  Even with all the chaos of moving the store back home and remodeling my studio to accommodate both me and the store, I did it.  I'm so darn proud of myself!  Never mind that I have 8 bins packed with my personal supplies - and that doesn't include all the paper I've managed to hoard over the years.  I left the essential within reach... like ink and stickles - LOL.

I used Bazzill Cardstock to mat my designer papers from Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses collection.  This is such a beautiful line of papers to work with for my designer papers.  My stamp is Angel  Tilda Magnolia from the new Merry Little Christmas Collection.  She is also available for pre-order in our store.  She's been colored in with Copics ( Dress R81, R83, R85;  Skin Tone E000, E00, E01, E11;  Wings BG0000 topped with Stickles;  Aura BG10 and Colorless Blender;  Hair YR23, Y23, E35)  The flower was handmade by me with lots of patience and love.  Lisa has a fabulous tutorial on how to make these beautiful blooms HERE.  Since most of my punches are packed away, I used my scalloped Spellbinders Circle Dies.  A spritz of Glimmer Mist in Pearl, a few dabs of fluid chalk, a dash of stickles and vuala!  Of course, I had to ink up the edges of the designer papers, add lots of Stardust Stickles and a few Kaisercraft pearls.

I hope you've enjoyed my little creation.  There is still plenty of time to enter the sketch challenge HERE.  If you have any questions, you can use our new "Ask the Designers" feature and we will all be happy to help you.

Now it's off to see what other challenges I can enter this sweetheart into.  Any suggestions, please let me know.

Don't forget to join us on FACEBOOK!

Inking Pink Blog Hop - Keep your "Girls" in Check!

Welcome to our first Annual "Inking Pink" Blog hop.  You should have made your way here from True's Blog.  If that's the case then guess what... you found the finish line!  If you arrived from somewhere else, you may want to head on over to Patricia's Blog and follow along.  This hop will take you around the world, so please sit back with your morning coffee or evening tea and celebrate our stories and projects with us.  There's lots of  "Pink Candy" out there to be had.  You won't want to miss your opportunity to get your hands on some of it.  Be sure you leave some {{{ LOVE }}} by posting a comment on each of the wonderful girl's blogs.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  It's the time when the pink ribbons come out to remind us it is time to get the "girls" checked.  Like any form of cancer, breast cancer knows no age.  It can strike when you least expect it.  Our lives can often spin out of control and we forget to take care of ourselves.  Regardless of age, it is important conduct a monthly self exam and a yearly mammogram, especially if there is a history of breast cancer in your family

Our paper crafting community spans the globe and brings all of us together under a common roof.  We are grandmothers, granddaughters, mothers, daughters, aunts, sisters, best friends, wives, cyber-friends and design team teammates. Many of us have family or friends touched by breast cancer and all of us want to encourage all of you to check "The Girls"!  For those of us at The Beary Scrap DT, we have recently found out that our dearest friend and alumni team mate Elise has breast cancer.  In her honor, we are "hopping" in hopes of helping to spread awareness throughout the world.  So, have you checked "The Girls" lately?

For my card, I chose an adorable image from Belle's 'n Whistles.  I chose this image because the recipient of this card adores Elizabeth Belle's images and is known to tinker with them quite often.   The picture came out a little fuzzy.  I will try and take a new one in better sunlight tomorrow - it's was raining today.

My image was colored with copic markers.  I used Bazzill Cardstock as my base.  My DP's are from My Mind's Eye Madison Avenue collection.  Oh, they are so pretty.  DP edges have been distressed and inked with some Stardust Stickles applied for more sparkle - not like the paper isn't already glowing with prettiness.  I added a few KaiserCraft pearls (Dollar Buys at TBS), a satin ribbon and a few mulberry paper roses.

In case you missed visiting a blog, here is a recap of all the beautiful Ladies that have participated in The First Annual Inking Pink Blog Hop for Awareness:

Now, I know you are waiting for that Blog Candy...

Now isn't that pink goodness at it's finest.  My blog candy contains

  • 1 Pink Stickles Glitter Glue
  • 1 Stardust Stickles Glitter Glue

If you would like a chance to win this sweet goodness, all you need to do is...
  1. Please become a follower if you aren't already.
  2. I would love for you to post a picture of my candy or about the Inking Pink Hop on your blog.  By doing so, you are helping to spread the word of Breat Awareness.  You may be doing someone a favor.
  3. Post a comment below.
  4. Take the oath to check "The Girls".
Wasn't that easy?   You have until Sunday, October 31 at 11:59pm eastern time to enter.  I will announce the winner on Wednesday, November 3.

Added Content:  10/27/2010:  My Story in brief

We have entered into the 24th hour of The "Inking Pink" Blog Hop.  I am speechless at how many of you hold this cause so dearly to your hearts.  The stories I heard about your triumph with any kind of cancer via comments, posts, emails and phone calls at our store have been quite touching, and tear jerking.

I am, relatively speaking, a quiet and  reserved person.  That is until you get to know me.  Although I have never had to deal with the impact of breast cancer in my family, we have had several family members taken by cancer.  Regardless of the origin, cancer is evil, it is unforgiving and it is heartbreaking.

I had lost my Mom over 5 years ago to cancer.  This is very difficult for me to "put out there" so I ask you to bear with me since I don't know how my words will flow.  Cancer is cancer... it is  evil!  My mom had become very ill.  We had thought she stroke.  She was hospitalized on December 13, 2004.  After 5 days in the hospital, we were told she had a tumor on her brain and a spot had been found in her lungs.  Both were most likely related.  She was diagnosed with lung cancer on December 18, 2004 and transferred to a more prominent hospital where they could better exam her condition.  This facility was almost 2 hours away from home.

Hours after her transfer we found out that she had lung cancer that had metastasized to her brain.  They diagnosed her with stage 4 lung cancer.  The doctors remained optimistic and gave us much hope that she would pull through.  Within days, the brain tumors were "aspirated" and she was sent home to spend Christmas with us.  Treatment plans were discussed and to occur after the holidays.  We were told that Mom would pull through.  I knew in my heart that she would not recover.

That was the last Christmas we got to spend with our Mom.  She was home until New Years.  Her condition worsened, she was unable to walk, talk, or even write.  After repeated phone calls to her doctors and specialists without a response, our family physician had suggested Hospice Care.  She was 53 years young when she passed away on January 16, 2005.  Not even a month from her initial diagnosis.  To young, to soon, and NOT fair.

Christmas is difficult is our household.  We celebrate her life each holiday, regretting that she was taken from us.  I miss my Mom.  If she had been more proactive about her health, she may still be here on Earth enjoying her grandchildren.  My Mom was (and still is) my best friend.  I think you get the picture.

My mom was a nurse. As most people are in the medical field, she was as stubborn as can be when it came to taking care of herself.  She was too busy taking care of everyone else that the one person she forgot to take care of was her.  I'm trying not to get to "deep" into this story of one of my personally pasts with cancer.  This is hard enough for me already.  The moral of the story is... we need to take care of ourselves if we want to be there to take care of our loved ones.  Breast Cancer is one of the leading causes of death among women.  Any form of cancer is devastating.  I MISS my Mom dearly.  So do my sisters.  My children never had the chance to get to know their Grammy.  My youngest has never met her, but I see Mom in her eyes everyday.  I wish they had because she was an amazing woman.  She IS the reason why I gave up my career in the medical field.  I pursued her passions in art and photography in this happy medium known today as scrapbooking and card making.

Thank you all for joining us in our Hop for Awareness.  I hope that we have made an impact on you.  Remember to TAKE CARE of YOU.  Encourage others to do the same.  After all, we can't be there take care of others if we don't take care of ourselves too.  Yes, a light bulb flashed over my head.  Life is too short.  For goodness sake, take CARE of YOU... TA-TAS, and ALL!

Freebie Halloween Ticket Digi Stamp

Hi Friends!  We are getting ready for our big weekend liquidation sale before the move back home.  At midnight Friday, we will be removing much of our inventory from the website in order to manage inventory.  We will keep you up to date on the progress.  Our newer inventory located in the HERE in our New Arrivals Category will remain available on the website during  the weekend for ordering.  Mulberry Paper and all things "Tear Bear" will be available too.

In the meantime, you all know how I love to tinker with graphics.  When I can't find a stamp (usually a sentiment) suitable for a project I'm working on, I often design one that will work.  I created 3 Halloween Ticket Stamps - one for each one of my children's Halloween Cards.  I'm happy to share them with you.  Simply click on the image to enlarge.  Right click on the image and save it to your computer.  I'll have have lots more of these in the future.

And now for that "technical stuff"...

CLOSING our Local Scrapbook Store. Moving back home...

Dear Friends,

Two years ago this past August, my husband and I took thebearyscrap.com on an entirely new journey and opened The Beary Scrap Boutique in our local community.  It took two months to prepare the little corner store space that we would call "Home" for The Beary Scrap.  We celebrated our Grand Opening October 8, 2008.

Sadly, a struggling economy has backed us into a corner.  We have been forced to make some very difficult decisions concerning the fate of our local boutique and the financial well being of our family.  I am sad to say that The Beary Scrap's brick-n-mortar store located at 128 North Main Street, Shavertown, PA. is closing and we will be moving back home where it all started over 6 years ago.

Over the past few weeks, we have been running our annual "Fall Clearance Sale" that will now lead into an inventory reduction/closing sale.  We simply don't have enough room to keep it all.

This weekend starts our Closing Sale at our local boutique.  We have slashed prices 40% to 60% off most items.  You will also receive a generous 20% off newer inventory and and inventory that we will continue to carry at thebearyscrap.com.

As a special treat this weekend, our own Beary Sweet Celebrity Susan from our Design Team will be coming in from Maryland to help. *waving at Susan* - Thanks Sweetie!

You may have a few questions about how this is going to effect our local business and our website.  We have compiled a few questions and answers below.  If you have a question that is not listed below, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Are you closing thebearyscrap.com?

NO, we are not closing the website.  We will continue operating thebearyscrap.com as usual.  We are excited to be able to bring in new inventory and add to our Beary Sweet Designs collection.  We are only closing our local boutique.

How will closing effect our on-line store?

On Friday, October 22, most of our inventory will temporarily be removed from the website so we can liquidate locally and perform inventory.  We strongly encourage our on-line friends to take advantage of our drastically reduced prices before Friday.  Merchandise that we will continue to carry will remain on the website.

As we begin moving inventory to it's new location, we will update our website with current stock, new stock and let you in on some more of our exciting plans for new lines and products.

Will shipping my on-line order be delayed during the closing sale and move?

We do not anticipate any delays in processing on-line orders during this time.

I shop at the local boutique. Can I still get my supplies from you?

Yes!  We would hope that our local patrons will continue to do business with us.

Orders may be placed with us at thebearyscrap.com.  We will gladly ship your merchandise to your, or make arrangements with you for pick up.  We will NOT have retail "walk-in" hours since our new location is our family's home.  Our home is NOT structured or zoned as an "open to the public business".  All orders will need to be placed through thebearyscrap.com or by phone.

We are still a local business.  That will not change.  I will work on arranging classes, or you can invite me to your crop or gathering to teach. Please allow us some time to get restructured and settled in to new location.  We are excited to have this opportunity to be able to craft with you, attend local craft shows and crops.

Can I use my Rewards Card during the closing sale?

We really appreciate your loyalty.   Since all merchandise is on sale, rewards cards may not be used on your purchase.

When are you closing the Local Store?

As soon as possible!  The doors open at 10:00am on Friday. Merchandise is priced to liquidate this weekend.  Come in early for the best selection.  After this weekend we will begin packing up inventory to move home.

Susan will be joining us around noon for those of you that are eager to meet her, and I know some of you are.  Personally, I'm tickled that she's coming up.  She has been my support and backbone in all of this.  *hugging Susan - I {heart} you!!!*

Is my rewards card valid for future purchases?

No. Since will will no longer be burdened by a vast operating expenses, we will be able to keep our prices below cost and stay competitive.

What are your hours this weekend?

Friday:  10:00am to 5:00pm
Saturday:  10:00am to 5:00pm
Sunday:  12:00pm to 5:00pm

All sales are final.

Can I still use my credit/debit card this weekend?

Yes.

Are you selling any paper racks or display?

Yes.  Our displays, paper trays and paper racks are only 2 years old.  They are in immaculate condition.  Some of them will be staying with us, but a majority of them are available for purchase.  Paper Trays, Racks, and displays are on a first-come first-serve basis.  You may inquire about purchasing these items after this weekend.  Merchandisers will be available for pick up before our final days.   The sale of these items is CASH ONLY.  All sales will be final.

In closing, my family and I would like to thank each and every one of you for your patronage, support and friendship.  We have met so many fabulous people over the past 2 years since opening the local boutique.  I've talked to many of you personally at the store, not to mention the numerous artists we have come to know locally, from across the country and around the world.  We will always be phone call away.

Before I get too teary-eyed, I personally want you to know how much I have enjoyed this journey with you.  I hope our friendships will continue and grow.

For now, Dave and I feel this move is the best decision for our business, our family and our loyal customers. We are embracing this opportunity to rebuild, re-brand, and restructure in this economy.  We believe everything in our lives happens for a reason and new doors of opportunity open every day.  We are excited for the future and look forward to the time when we can re-open the local boutique.

Yours Truly,

Kimm & Dave

Beary Sweet Challenge 11 ---> Sketch with Tilda

Happy Thursday Friends!  Today is day 2 of "my weekend" and it will be spent grocery shopping and running errands.  I'll finish up the housework that I didn't get to yesterday too.  There are always things on my list that I don't get a chance to get to, but it will wait until Monday when I'm off again.  If I'm lucky, dear hubby might have a spare moment to pitch in on the real weekend.  Well, it's a day in the life of this girl.

Well, lets get to the good stuff.  Can you believe three posts this week!  That is unheard of my in world.  Not only is that practically unheard of, I actually created a card to play along with our Design Team Girls for the Beary Sweet Challenge #11 that will launch on Friday.

This week we all worked with a sketch that we'll use as our next Beary Sweet Challenge on Friday. Be sure to check back on Friday for the start of our Sketch Challenge.  Susan created an awesome sketch for us to play with.

Tilda With Broom meets My Little Yellow Bicycle

For this card I chose to use some of our remaining Frightful papers by My Little Yellow Bicycle.  We still have a few of these left in the store if you want to grab some.  As usual, I roughed up my edges with a distressing tool and then inked them up with some charcoal colorbox fluid chalk.  I had some swirls left on a half used sheet of Smoky Say it in Crystals by Prima so I thought it would add a nice touch.  I layered a Prima flower from  my stash with one of Leslie's beautiful crochet blossoms that we have in the store. (I'm waiting for her to make us some more so I can get them online for you too).  The brad center is actually from Pink Paislee's Bayberry Cottage Collection.  The green was a perfect addition to the color combination.  I came across the fall leaves when I was sorting out my Prima Flowers in my home studio.  I've had these for years - LOL.  It wouldn't be me if I didn't have some sparkling goodness added somewhere.  All of the edges and the flowers got a nice coat of STARDUST STICKLES GLITTER GLUE.  I first used Black Diamond on the image, but I really don't like the way it turned out.  Oh, I almost forgot, I used Snow Kaiser Craft Pearls and colored them with an YR Copic Marker.

As for Tilda, she was colored with my Copics, and I be darned that I didn't right down what colors I used when I colored her.  I'm sorry :(.  I stamped her with tuxedo black on Neenah Cardstock.  I'm pretty sure I shipped our very last Tilda with Broom out earlier this week.  She was actually from the Hoppy Easter Collection, but you would never have known it.

I am very excited that I got to play along with the girls this week, but I'm even happier that you decided to drop by for a visit today.  Hope you have a wonderful day!

Hugs

More Mairzy Doats and Popcorn the Bear

Happy Wednesday Dear Friends!  Today, in theory, is the start of my weekend since the store front is closed today and Thursday.  So I bet you wonder what it is I do in the middle of the week when I close the store.  I mean really, who closes their shop mid week for 2 days???  Well I can tell you this, run a house with a husband who works 60+ hours a week and 3 little people that have tons of homework, create mounds of laundry and have soccer practice and everything else under the moon, I'd never get anything done.

Of course that doesn't mean that I am not "working".  Here is how my Wednesday's go.  Once the kids are off to school, I spend a few hours at the shop in the morning packaging and shipping out orders before I pick up my pre-schooler.  Then it's off to the post office with my little one to help carry boxes and hold the door.  After our visit with our friendly post master (well not always friendly - LOL) its home for lunch and and time for the dreaded CHORES.  Cleaning the floors, running the vacuum, washing laundry and putting it away, scrubbing bathrooms, and so on.  Get dinner started, get the kids off the bus, prepare a light snack for them while we do homework, finish cooking dinner, take the 2 older kids to soccer, get home, finish cleaning up from dinner, get the kids showered and ready for bed.  Throw a little playtime with them in there too.  When 9:00 gets here, tuck them in and it's playtime or more work for me.  What a way to spend "my 1st day of my weekend".  When the real weekend gets here, I'm at the shop, so if I don't get the chores done these day, it won't get done on the weekend.  Oh, a woman's work is never done.  Stay tuned for Thursday - LOL.

Alright, enough of that...   Today I have another card for you using some more Mairzy Doats from Dream Street and another Crafter's Companion Popcorn the Bear stamp.  My goal is to use up all the paper I cut up without having any scraps left over.  I think I may have a few more cards to get out of this "mini kit" I created.

Thank You

As you can see, I'm totally hooked on the colors of these papers, and the entire Crafter's Companion Popcorn the Bear Stamp.  Really, if you know me, it's know wonder - LOL.  This stamp is called "Thinking of You".  The sentiment came from one of the other stamps  Not only do I love the stamp itself, but I love this coloring technique.  I used my COPICS in various shades from E31 to E35.  I added E51 for the lighter areas and E50 for his muzzle.  R20 gives his cheeks a nice rosy finish.  The blanket was colored with E40 to E43 with a bit of R81 to R85 for the heart.  I used a yellow shade (can't remember which on - sorry) for the center of the daisy.

Again, I roughed up the edged of the designer paper and inked them up with some chestnut roan fluid chalk.  Applied some stardust stickles to the edges and the image to add some extra interest.  A few mulberry paper flowers, 3 kaiser craft pearls (from our $1.00 bargain bin) a gorgeous lace trim and some rich brown satin ribbon from my stash... WHALA!

I used the sketch from Friday Sketcher's challenge for the layout of this card.  This was a great sketch to work with.  I just flipped my elements around.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Wishing you a wonderful day!

Happy Birthday with some Mairzy Doats

HELLOOOOO Blog Friends!  It seems like ages since I've been here on these parts.  We've been firing things up on our Facebook Fan Page that I sometimes forget to head on over here and share with you all.  If you haven't been to our new Fan Page, head on over and be sure to "LIKE" us.  At least I would hope that you like us. *grins*.

I've been moving papers throughout the store, again, and revisiting some older collections that I personally love.  Granted, I LOVE the new stuff, but sometimes the older stuff is just as much fun.

Happy Birthday

September, October, and November is packed with birthdays in our family.  I think we've already celebrated 4 birthdays and 3 anniversaries and there are still lots more to go.  I made this card for my ex-mother-in-law who is celebrating her birthday today.

The image is from Crafter's Companion called  Pop Corn the Bear Birthday Hugs.  I just love these little bears (gee, I wonder why - LOL).  You can bet you will see the entire line of these in the store over the next few weeks.  Aren't they a-dor-a-ble!  My designer papers are from Dream Street's Mairzy Doats Collection.  I just love the colors in this line.  YUMMY!  You can head on over to The Beary Scrap and pick it up 35% OFF!  The edges were roughed with my Tim Holtz distressing tool and just realized I don't have it listed on the website - don't worry, I'll fix it.  I then inked them up with some Chestnut Roan Fluid Chalk and applied some Stardust Stickles Glitter Glue to the edges.  The paper trim is an old Fiskar's Border Punch that I found when I was cleaning up and reorganizing my scrap studio at home.  It's amazing what one will find when they reorganize.  I added some pretty Mulberry Paper Flowers, some pink satin ribbon from my stash.

This adorable little critter stamped on X-Press It Blending Card and colored with Copics.  If you haven't tried this paper yet, you have to.  Oh, I LOVE IT!  I used E31, E35, E51 and E50 for the bear.  R81 to R83 for the pinks, G20 to G24 for the greens.  I used Magenta stickles for the dots.  Oh, that cute little ducky was colored with Y11 and Y12, and a YR that I can't remember at the moment.

Now if I can just go and find a challenge to enter this one in.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated :)

I'm glad you stopped in for a visit.

"Making Memories" layout by Sharon

Hello Friends!  Sorry for not posting is such a long time.  I've been having issues with IE loading images to blogger and even facebook.  It's been a nightmare to say the least.  I just downloaded Firefox, and I gotta tell ya, I'm in INTERNET HEAVEN (so far.).

Making Memories
by Sharon
This beautiful layout was created by our very own Beary Sweet Designer Sharon.  This layout centers around a very special family tradition of gathering flowers (the name of the flower escapes me) and soaking them in water colored with food coloring.  Oh, I remember doing this a child too.  It almost looks like the color of the flowers were chosen to match the paper.  I just love the colors of Basic Grey's Cappella line, and the way Sharon layered them together in this layout is just delicious!  There is so much detail I could write an entire novel!

Just take a look at these beautiful Prima Flowers.  A little bit of "Twinklets Diamond Dust" anyone.  I love adding a bit of glam to flowers... just apply a bit of glossy accents, sprinkle with Twinklets and let it dry.

And how about this cutie?  Do you recognize her?  It's Emma and she's been cut from cardstock.  That's right, you don't have to use mulberry paper to use our patterns to adorable paper piecings for your layouts.  You can trace them onto cardstock and cut them out too.  Yes, it's a bit more time consuming compared to the cutting machines out there, but unfortunately, I'm not computer savvy enough to figure out how to convert all of our cutting files in order to create patterns that will accommodate all the different file extensions out there.  I've been trying to get in figured out, but there just isn't enough information available out there that I can find.  If anyone has any tips, I'd love for you to share them .:: wink ::.

Thanks for stopping by!

A Surprise Visit, New Echo Park, & Last Stop Clearance

Hello Friends!  I hope you are having a great weekend so far.  Mine has been FAB-U-LOUS so far.

Today, I was taken by surprise when my dear friend, and our DT Coordinator, Susan came walking into the shop without any notice.  All I can say is I was filled with JOY and the tears were running from my eyes.  She had been at a bead show in Philadelphia and decided to drive the extra 2 hours north to visit.  This was the first time we've been able to meet in person.

Some of the ladies (an gentlemen) had the luxury witnessing this highly emotional moment and had the pleasure of meeting one of our Beary Sweet Celebrities.  Susan brought a few of her cards to show us.  OH, the internet does them no justice... seeing them all up close and in person was amazing.  The detail she puts in every one is amazing.  There is no doubt she invests hours when she's creating them.  Intricate cuts and loads of layers Most of her images are cut and layered with 3D effects.

We got to spend most of the afternoon together.  In between customers, we *drooled* over paper sample we received from various manufacturers.  I showed her a few of the lines that are coming in next week.  We admired all the layouts created by our in-store designers, Sharon, Michelle and Suzie.  Their layouts are displayed throughout the walls in the store.  Susan even got to see how much of a mess I made out of our work room.  Yes, I managed to pile up all sorts of stuff on 4 tables to the point that I can't find them any longer - LOL.

It was an AWESOME day!  After she left, it dawned on me that I didn't have my camera... I'm sure neither one of us gave it a thought until after the fact.  That's okay.  I'm sure we will be getting together more often... even if I have to find my way to Maryland.  Susan, I'm sending you more {{{HUGS}}}.  I'm still excited about our visit today!!!
