Just For You... and a FREE DIGI

Hello Blogging Buddies!  Believe it or not, today I actually have a card to share with you.  We all know that doesn't happen to often - LOL.  After all the snow days we had this past week, the kids were home from school all but 1 and 1/2 days.  You can imagine by the end of the week I was pulling my hair out.  Mamma needed some serious down time :).  With more snow in the forecast next week, I may find myself finally scrapbooking too.

Over at The Beary Sweet Challenge, our theme is "Friendship or Love".  I have been dying to play with Echo Park's "Be Mine" Collection.  I just love the colors and the prints.  This is such a great line.  The prints are so versatile and can be used year round.

I used a sketch over at my dear friend Kellie's Tickled Pink Stamp Challenge.  The sketch was perfect for layering all these gorgeous papers.  I used Cherri with Rose stamp from Tickled Pink Stamps.  You will be seeing these cutie's coming to our store in the very near future too.

Cherrie has been colored with Copic Markers.  I'm not thrilled with my coloring, but since I haven't picked up a marker since October 2010, I don't think I did too bad of a job. I applied stickles to the rose.  Of course the entire card is distressed and inked up with Chestnut Roan fluid chalk.  I've added lots of ribbon and lace from my stash.

The sentiment is one that I created.  I printed it out, colored the heart in with copic markers and applied some red stickles to the surface.

I'm happy to share my sentiment digi it with you.  Simply click on the image to enlarge.  Right click on the image and save it to your computer.  The image is a high quality .jpg created at 300dpi.  You can easily load it into word or photo software to resize and print.  I left the inside of the heart blank so that you can color it in to match your project.

And now for that "technical stuff"...

Meyer Imports German Glitter Glass is Here!!!

It’s all about the Sparkle!  Oh yeah, BLING IT ON!  We are so excited to introduce to you a product that is new to us, but may not be new to many of you artists out there.

Lets give a nice warm welcome to German Glass Glitter from Meyer Imports!  (claps and cheers).

We have brought in 36 gorgeous sparkling colors available in fine 90 grit and perfect for any craft project.  This product is IN STOCK and will begin shipping tomorrow morning.  Limited quantities are available.  And just because it is NEW, we have decided to mark it down for a limited time.  Right now until Friday, January 21, all German Glass Glitter is marked down 20% from it's original price.  Check out all the colors in stock HERE.

Like a thousand tiny diamonds glistening in the sun, German Glass Glitter from Meyer Imports has a shine like no other, due to the labor intensive hand-crafted production process.

This is a glitter desinged for the serious artist who knows how important those final touches can really set your work apart from the others.

German Glass Glitter is produced by a Bavarian Glass Artisans who create a far superior product and only create Artist Grade Glitters, and not a wide range of industrial glass products like the competition.

German Glass Glitter is created from a seven step process that starts with coating a thin substrate of glass with a coat of pure silver. After firing the glass at high temperatures, color coatings are added, followed by additional firings and coats of sliver. After the coated color glass is completed and cooled, it is ground into different grains or grits.  This multi-stage process and base coat of Silver is what gives our Glitter both the exceptional sparkle and shine, but also it’s tendency to tarnish to a rich vintage look over time.

Most clear drying craft glues will work fine. We do carry a special glue, in white (clear) that is very popular and is preferred for most projects.  Double-sided tape such as Scor-Tape will work well too.

I'm getting ready to send some of this BLING out to our Design Team Girls.  I can't wait to see what they come up with.  In the meantime, you can check out some projects on Meyer Imports Blog HERE.  You will be blown away :)

OFFER EXPIRED!!!
Baby Bear will be available for ordering early 2011.
~ Thank You ~

Hello my fellow bloggers!  Happy Wednesday and New Release Day of our Beary Sweet Designs Patterns.  Okay, so I've been scarce around these parts, but all within good reason.  I've been working day and night on the website, still unpacking a few more boxes and updating our online inventory.  Now, add Holiday cleaning, decorating and shopping (or lack there of) - Whew!  I'm finding I'm busier now than I ever was before.  I hope I can find some time to bake a few batches of cookies with the kids.

With all this hustle and bustle, it's amazing I found the time to get 2 new patterns out this month.  Introducing our newest additions to the Beary Sweet Family... Marcy the Mouse and Monty the Moose!

There is more... Many of you have asked for a smaller sized bear... a Baby Bear.  Well, Baby Bear is available for FREE when you purchase both of our new releases together.  You only have until midnight December 16 to place your order and take advantage of this offer.  Baby Bear will not be back until early 2011, so you don't want to miss out on this great deal.  You can go HERE to order our Special Bonus Buy.

Well, this chickie needs to get back to work.  Thanks for stopping by.  I hope to be back in a few days with some more freebie digis!

Merry Little Christmas Angel Tilda - BSC #13

Hello fellow bloggers!  Happy Thursday to you all!  I hope you have been having a wonderful week thus far.  The weather here in PA has been mighty cold.  I'm beginning to think mother nature forget Autumn???  It's way to cold for me to be outside raking leaves.

  • News about our Local Boutique can be found here.  The days are winding down fast.  The new location (although no longer public) is coming along nicely.  Hubby has put in the most incredible lighting and Chris primered the walls yesterday.  Today we will be getting a fresh coat of "latte" paint with the help of my loving Father-in-Law.  So warm and inviting!  Hopefully the new flooring will be installed this weekend.  Sad, but exciting at the same time.  We are ahead of schedule... even though we all seem to work better under pressure - LOL.
  • thebearyscrap.com News:  I began restoring some products on the website, but some that I am trying to keep off are squeaking by me.  After November 13, all product will be restored on the site.  New inventory is being added daily!

Surprisingly, I managed to make a card using Susan's awesome sketch for our BSC #13 which can be found HERE.  Even with all the chaos of moving the store back home and remodeling my studio to accommodate both me and the store, I did it.  I'm so darn proud of myself!  Never mind that I have 8 bins packed with my personal supplies - and that doesn't include all the paper I've managed to hoard over the years.  I left the essential within reach... like ink and stickles - LOL.

I used Bazzill Cardstock to mat my designer papers from Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses collection.  This is such a beautiful line of papers to work with for my designer papers.  My stamp is Angel  Tilda Magnolia from the new Merry Little Christmas Collection.  She is also available for pre-order in our store.  She's been colored in with Copics ( Dress R81, R83, R85;  Skin Tone E000, E00, E01, E11;  Wings BG0000 topped with Stickles;  Aura BG10 and Colorless Blender;  Hair YR23, Y23, E35)  The flower was handmade by me with lots of patience and love.  Lisa has a fabulous tutorial on how to make these beautiful blooms HERE.  Since most of my punches are packed away, I used my scalloped Spellbinders Circle Dies.  A spritz of Glimmer Mist in Pearl, a few dabs of fluid chalk, a dash of stickles and vuala!  Of course, I had to ink up the edges of the designer papers, add lots of Stardust Stickles and a few Kaisercraft pearls.

I hope you've enjoyed my little creation.  There is still plenty of time to enter the sketch challenge HERE.  If you have any questions, you can use our new "Ask the Designers" feature and we will all be happy to help you.

Now it's off to see what other challenges I can enter this sweetheart into.  Any suggestions, please let me know.

I have met all of your requirements, and I appreciate so much the emphasis you and your fellow blog-hoppers are putting on cancer awareness!  Thank you for sharing your heart, and I am so sorry about your mom. I lost my dear mom-in-law to cancer 1-1/2 years ago, and my mom is being checked today to see if her colon cancer has returned. God bless you all for taking the time to emphasize such an important topic!"
