Reopening April 7

Hi Everyone!  After taking some much needed time to spend with my family and home, I have finally picked a date to reopen.  I wanted to thank you for being patient and respecting my wishes to put my family above and beyond everything else.

There are some changes coming to my patterns, stamps and paper inventory.  One of the biggest changes is that I will no longer be offering pre-cut eyes and noses with any of my patterns.  I will be relocating any and all free eyes and nose downloads to the website so they are easier for all of us to find. :).  There will be both printables and cut files for eyes and noses.

Mulberry paper is in the process of being restocked.  The inventory will be low when product go live on Monday.  I am expecting another shipment in next week.  I should be well stocked by then.

Another big change to my site is our payment processor.  I have removed Authorize.net from our site.  All payments will be processed through PayPal.  You may still use credit cards to place orders.

All of my stamps and some paper goods have been moved to my new website at Ms Kimm Creates.  Both sites are separate from one another.  Orders cannot be combined between the two sites.

Again, I want to thank you all for your patience and understanding.

Temporary Closing

If you don't follow The Beary Scrap on Facebook or subscribe to our newsletter, you may not be aware that I have temporarily closed the shop.  I need some time to spend with my family, focus on home and reorganize the store, which will be divided into 2. 

I intend to reopen 2 separate stores by spring.

Shipping Schedule November 7

I will be having surgery on Thursday, November 7th which will put me off my feet for a few days. I will not be shipping on Thursday or Friday of this week. All orders received by NOON EST on Wednesday, November 6th will be shipped Wednesday. All orders received after that time will not be shipped until at least Tuesday, November 12th since November 11th is Veteran's Day.

Tear Bear Spotlight Artist of the Month...

It's been a long time coming!  I've had this idea to spotlight a tear bear artist or artists each month on our blog.  I'm pleased to announce that it is finally happening.  I would LOVE to do this weekly, but that will all depend on the amount you all share with me.  Whether it is on of Facebook fan page, or you email me your creations using my patterns.  The more I receive, the more I will have to share with you!

This month I received these adorable creations from Roxy Clury.  She shares most of her work on her Facebook Page HERE.  Be sure to follow her for some paper crafting inspiration!

Believe it or not, these were her first ever tear bear creations using my patterns.  It just goes to show how easy it is to create such cuteness!

New Tear Bear Pattern & New Flair

Summer has come and gone all to quickly.  The kids are back in school, all of them full time.  I've decided to take the time that the kids are in school to do something I haven't done in YEARS!.  Take care of ME.  That has included lots of doctor's appointments (check ups and specialists), which does not seem to be slowing down any time soon.  I had imagined having all this time on my hands with the kids in school... that was wishful thinking.  So, in my spare time, I've been trying to get some new designs in the shop.  I'm happy to announce I have a new tear bear pattern and some new flair badges.

Vacation Notice

Do you Project Life?

I recently took the plunge into Project Life.  The concept seems perfect giving my hectic life (or anyone's for that matter).  It's supposed to be quick, easy, and you can do it however you want.  Weekly, Monthly, special occasions, etc.  There are no rules.  You make it what you want it to be.

For me, I decided to take the "weekly approach" for 2013.  I am WAY behind, with only 8 weeks actually completed.  That's not too bad since week 27 just ended.

Here is my week 27.  I used Elle's Studio June Kit for most of the layout.  This was one of the first monthly kits I've ever bought.  I really like their designs and already ordered their July Kit.  The colors coordinated very well.  Although, there didn't seem to be enough in the kit to complete a 2 page layout.  I ended up incorporating a few cards from Becky Higgins Blush Core Kit, and a few of my own designed cards you will see below.

Other products used:  October Afternoon Mini Market stickers, Sn@p letter stickers, SC wood veneers, Amy Tangerine Goodness Alpha Thickers, Pink Paislee tiny tabs, Heidi Swapp letters, Miss Kimm Designs Flair Badges and a new Miss Kimm Designs Stamp set that will be available in my store soon (later this week).

New addition to our family...

We've had a lot going on at home... so much that I will need to make a few blog posts just to catch up, otherwise I will bore you all to death with so much detail in one post.

On February 23, my world was literally turned upside down!  We got a puppy!!!  We had already decided a few months ago that it was time to bring another 4 legged friend into the house, but the timing was much sooner than I had planned.  It all started on Friday afternoon when my husband walked into a pet store while he was waiting to pick up a part for a job site.  This sweet little girl had been out playing in the pen.  She captured my husband's heart!!

Later that night, he told me all about his encounter with this furbaby.  Much to my surprise, I said I would contact the pet store in the morning and see if she is still there.  OMG, I did say that didn't I.  LOL.  When Saturday morning came around, the kind gentleman told me that she was there and he put her on hold for me.

Lindsay and I packed up in the car to go meet the little lady that stole my husband's heart.  Within meeting her, she captured our hearts too... and the rest is history!  Welcome home Pepper the Boxer! 

Homecoming! 2/23/13

Welcome home, Pepper.  12 weeks old

So my world was turned upside down!  Raising a puppy is a lot of work, but is also a lot of fun.  The first few weeks were tiresome!  She is crate trained, so that was helpful.  No howling at night when we put her to bed, and only a few accidents in the house.  Keeping up with her is like keeping up with a 2 year old child!!  Let me tell you... this little girl thinks she is human!

As the weeks have gone by, she has given our lives an entire new meaning.  Talk about team work within the family!  She has truly brought us closer together.  Everyone pitches in and helps out with taking care of her.  She is MY responsibility all week while everyone is either at work or school.  Yes, she drives me absolutely insane some days.  She really doesn't like it when Mommy works.  Walks, playtime, and snuggle time is what she wants from me all day!  But seriously, how could you resist that face?

She is unbelievably smart and picks up on anything we teach her within days!  Heal and come... not doing so well with, but everything else... brilliant!!!

Still not going so well!  2 weeks now.
